Carbon Black Feedstock
Carbon black is primarily used as a reinforcing agent in the rubber industry—for both tires and automotive and non automotive rubber components—where it significantly enhances strength and mechanical properties. The main feedstock used for producing this material is tar based heavy oil grade CB OH12.
At Coal Tar Refining Company, the required feedstock is sourced from coking units and petrochemical complexes. This feedstock is processed in refinery distillation units under fully controlled conditions and separated into light, medium, and heavy fractions. The heavy oil used for producing CB OH12 is obtained from the heavy fractions of this process.
The final product undergoes rigorous quality control testing in the company’s fully equipped laboratories to ensure full compliance with international standards and the technical requirements of customers.
Used as raw material in the manufacturing of carbon black for tires and plastics.
Used in the production of industrial bitumen and protective coatings.
Used as a carbon source in the synthesis of CNTs, especially in the CVD process.
Used in GTUD production as a graphitized carbon source to stabilize and uniformly disperse nanodiamonds within a conductive and heat-resistance matrix.
Used as an initial feedstock in chemical plants and for producing additives.
Used as a precursor for carbon fiber production.
Used as a carbon source in the production of Fullerenes via electric arc or laser evaporation method
Used as a carbon source to make carbon dots in nanotechnology
