ZMC and Golden Technology Assembly have partnered to bring smartphone manufacturing to the Kurdistan Region, with production under the renowned Infinix brand name. These smartphones, already recognized for their quality and innovation, have started entering the local market, marking a milestone in the region's technological advancement. Currently, the factory produces over 1,000 mobile phones daily, with plans to scale up operations as demand grows.

The factory, a pioneering initiative by a Kurdish investor, was established with technical assistance from Chinese experts, leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques and processes. While essential components are imported from China, the factory takes pride in its local workforce. An impressive 97% of its employees are from the region, including 150 young Kurdish men and women, reflecting a commitment to empowering local talent and creating job opportunities. This diverse workforce not only contributes to the factory’s success but also gains valuable experience in the growing tech industry.
